Appreciation Letters to Police, Nurses, Teachers, Doctors
Our volunteers and children at schools are encouraged to write appreciation letters for the community helpers who serve our community. This project is designed to develop a sense of respect in our children towards those who care for us.
Treats for Community Helpers
Every year on special celebration days we distribute treats and handmade cards made by our volunteers and our clients for those who work hard to keep our community safe.
Appreciation Cards for staff of Mental Health Units and Nursing Homes With school children and our volunteers, we make cards for staff at Mental Health Units and Nursing Homes which we distribute along with chocolates.
National First Responders Day
To appreciate our first responders who are always ready to serve the community and put their lives at risk, our Little Helpers present chocolates and hand-made cards which are made by our elderly, our volunteers and children at schools.
End of Year Community Helpers Cards
Each year, Little Helpers along with many schools and nursing homes make end of the year cards for their chosen community helpers to appreciate what they do for the community.
Kindness Cupcake Project for Community Helpers
Children present our community helpers with a gift hamper containing kindness cupcakes.
They visit different nursing homes to meet and greet the nursing staff who look after our elderly. Also, as part of this project they visit police stations and offices of other community helpers. Kids take cupcakes to school for their teachers and principal. Every year at least 25-40 schools are involved in this project.
