The volunteers at Little Helpers were brought together by the realisation that our children are living in a world of unsurpassed privilege and opportunity that will allow them to accomplish and succeed in unparalleled ways. These very opportunities have, unfortunately, led majority of our children to foster a lack of compassion and impatience towards the vulnerable members of society, evident as they pass by the homeless individuals camped on the corner, unaffected by their sufferings or when they become increasingly annoyed towards the elderly slowly crossing the streets. Seeing the disconnect which exists within our community, we felt the need to develop an organisation which works towards eradicating these differences. At Little Helpers, children are provided an opportunity to work together with respect, love and care to support our elderly, our homeless, our peers and our community. We have designed specialised projects to enrich our children’s hearts with compassion for all individuals, building invaluable life skills, to set the foundations for communal harmony.

Appreciating others is a wonderful act of courage and kindness that comes straight from the heart. Appreciating others, particularly our youth, not only encourages them to do more, and realise the real difference that their efforts make, but will also enables them to understand the value of kindness and giving back to the community.
